Spirulina. Yes it smells like the sea and yes its basically what you'll find on the side of your pet nemo's fishtank however they are small reasons to not have it everyday in comparison to the potential gains.

Here are our top 5 ways of consuming Spirulina without even realising...

Number 1:
Green Juice

Of course this was going to be the number 1. Spirulina and green juice are a marriage made in absolute heaven.
Make your Juice, use Limes and lemons for a citrus zing as this offsets the taste of spirulina perfectly. Voila. Green juice not only got greener but meaner. Ask any juice boffin. The darker the shade the better the juice!

Number 2:
Energy Balls.

Now you maybe thinking mmmm fishy balls! Not so sure. But trust us. With the right combination of Raw Cacao and Coconut Oil you wont even know its there. Not even a linger. And the colour. Yep you guessed it dark and lovely. The colour of supreme superfood goodness!

Number 3:
Olive Tapenade

The natural fish aroma blends in perfectly into a lovely homemade tapenade. For those who are vegan, using just capers instead of anchovies works just as well. Spread on some lovely crispbread with a sprinkle of sundried tomatoes, chilli flakes and herbs for a nutrient dense snack without the taste attack.

Number 4
Massaged Kale

Possibly the most moreish combination outside of green juice we have ever attempted. And raw kale and curcumin too, not bad in the nutrient boost stakes either. Take some Raw Kale, good olive oil, a teaspoon of Spirulina, a sprinkle of Himalayan Pink Salt and some good chilli flakes and give it all a good ole massage in a bowl.
Forget forks. Straight in there with your fingers we find is best!

Number 5
Green Smoothie

Spirulina is a fab addition to a green smoothie. We love our green smoothies with coconut milk, kale, spinach, avocado, banana, pineapple, a few strawberries, coconut oil and Spirulina. If the straw stands up on its own you are onto a winner.

In our opinion, a teaspoon is enough for a serving on any of the above and if all else fails, dont forget we sell 100% Organic Pressed Spirulina Tablets at £15.99 for 400. 4 of them with a glass of water is easy breezy and at just 16p a day is a no brainer in the ease of use stakes!
